Lord And Creator 22:2

Lord And Creator
Proverbs 22:2

Rich and poor have this in common:
The Lord is the Maker of them all.

PCdc Commentary

I recently heard a scientist on Coast To Coast radio saying that we should not teach our children that they are created.
Our kids cannot possibly be edumakated if they do not believe in evolution.
I guess they must be inculcated in the dogma of evolution, and protected from the scriptural teachings of creation.

So purge Genesis chapters 1 through 4, John chapter 1, and countless other passages from both the Old Covenant and the New.

Scientists should strive to be objective, not dogmatic;
Inquisitive instead of intractable.

Uncovering The True Motive 21:2

Uncovering The True Motive
Proverbs 21:2

A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart.

PCdc Commentary

Rationalize:
to ascribe (one’s acts, opinions, etc.) to causes
that superficially seem reasonable and valid
but that actually are unrelated
to the true, possibly unconscious and
often less creditable or agreeable causes.

As humans, we tend to rationalize, consciously or not.
But, God considers our motive.
So, before you act, it is wise to first
take it to the Lord in prayer.”

Governmental Wrath 20:2

Governmental Wrath
Proverbs 20:2

A king’s wrath strikes terror
like the roar of a lion;
those who anger him forfeit their lives.

PCdc Commentary

Reminiscent of Romans 13:4
For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good.
But if you do wrong, be afraid,
for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason.
They are God’s servants,
agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

A wise person must count the cost before angering the authorities.
Sometimes, you get to pick the hill you’re gonna die on.

Fools Delight 18:2

Fools Delight
Proverbs 18:2

Fools find no pleasure in understanding
but delight in airing their own opinions.

PCdc Commentary

Fools like to air their opinions without understanding.
There are too many foolish opinions floating around out there.

Opinions are like noses: Everybody has one.
