Listen, my son! Listen, son of my womb!
Listen, my son, the answer to my prayers!

Do not spend your strength on women,
your vigor on those who ruin kings.

Many a politician has resigned for vigor related immorality.
Countless marriages have been destroyed by it.
Spend your strength on something more virtuous than sexual immorality.
Spend your strength on the Kingdom of God.

Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!

Who is the Lord?
Who is the Great Shepherd?

A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,
but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.

A son who loves wisdom makes his father joyful.
Our Heavenly Father must enjoy it when we seek wisdom.
When we seek prostitutes, not so much.

Proverbs 28:3

A ruler who oppresses the poor
is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.

Should a government that enslaves the poor survive?
Hamstringing the poor is criminal.

The empty promises of wicked officials do not help the poor.
They enslave the poor.

Modesty Is Obsolete 27:2

Proverbs 27:2

Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth;
an outsider, and not your own lips.

Modesty is obsolete.
If I wait for someone else to brag about me,
I probably have a long wait.
