Stone is heavy and sand a burden,

Provocation Of A Fool
Proverbs 27:3
Stone is heavy and sand a burden,

Curses, Undeserved And Deserved
Proverbs 26:2
Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,
an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
PCdc Commentary
Occasionally, on Coast To Coast AM radio,
someone will call who is worried about being cursed.
An undeserved curse can never land.
But what about our deserved curses?
Jesus bore our sins, and the curses they spawned.
Searching Out Concealed Matters
Proverbs 25:2-3
2
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter;
to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
3
As the heavens are high and the earth is deep,
so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.
PCdc Commentary
As kings (and, by extension, queens),
we are to search out what God has concealed.
This gives us depth in the knowledge and wisdom of God.
Knowledge Enriches
Proverbs 24:3-4
3
By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.
PCdc Commentary
Knowledge leads to Understanding which leads to Wisdom.
And knowledge alone is sufficient to enrich you.
Transience Of Riches
Proverbs 23:4-5
4
Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness.
5
Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
PCdc Commentary
How easy it is for riches to “fly off to the sky like an eagle,”
The classic image of a dollar bill with wings flying away!
