Proverbs 4:5

Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them.

We are instructed to GET both wisdom and understanding.
This implies that these riches are acquired.
Once acquired, use them.

Obey Your Father And Live
Proverbs 4:3-4

For I too was a son to my father,
still tender, and cherished by my mother.

Then he taught me, and he said to me,
“Take hold of my words with all your heart;
keep my commands, and you will live.”

and you are laughed out of the room.
Maybe O&H never existed,
but it remains a decent and attainable lifestyle.

If you do not have a father,
or if your father has failed you,
your Heavenly Father
reaches out to embrace you.
