The Knowledge Of The Holy One 30:1-3

The Knowledge Of The Holy One
Proverbs 30:1-3

This man’s utterance to Ithiel:
I am weary, God, but I can prevail.

Surely I am only a brute, not a man;
I do not have human understanding.

I have not learned wisdom,
nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One.

PCdc Commentary

The wise never claim their wisdom,
because the wiser they become,
the more they recognize their foolishness.

PCdc Commentary

I am a big fan of Reality TV.
Some of these reality shows capture criminal behavior in action.
When confronted, these crooks feign innocence.
But, in the end, they flee naked into the night, unpursued,
While the righteous stand stronger than before.

Unfit For A Fool 26:1

Unfit For A Fool
Proverbs 26:1

Like snow in summer or rain in harvest,
honor is not fitting for a fool.

PCdc Commentary

Snow in summer can be refreshing,
but it is anachronistic.
Rain in harvest can be a disaster,
as well as anachronistic.
Honoring a fool is flat out foolish,
and, of course, anachronistic.
